ETENDUE - Transformable black wool and silk waistcoat

“When you resist you become irresistible” – says Lucas Leclère, creative director of the brand, in the song developed by Larry Tee for the short-film introducing La Résistance.

His first capsule collection is guided by the idea of creating clothes that challenge luxury’s status function.

It offers a wardrobe for contemporary cultural cosmopolitans who no longer identify with the personas of the past and explore instead new identities, freed from conventional societal expectations.

The collection activates traditional bourgeois tailoring, marker of rank and prestige, and strips it of its inherited symbolism. It displaces it into underground and club culture, charging it with new emotional and aesthetic meaning.

Large lapels and padded shoulders lend an androgynous, glamorous allure to jackets and coats, worn with fluid trousers that cascade along the leg before opening at the ankle.

DÉCALÉ - tailored wool trousers with asymmetrical hem openings

PALMERAIE - Piece-dyed printed denim overshirt

MICROCOSME - Deep black denim micro shorts

The designer tapped into his past work with leading Italian mills and manufacturers, to develop exclusive fabrics and prints. This results into intricated dévoré fabrics, lurex, jacquard, and neo-realistic prints. Symbols of ancient civilization such as palmtrees or pheniceans coins are juxtaposed onto pure silk and denim, evocating the paperworks of Hains and Villeglé.

Red leopard-printed organza is sewn into a jacquard in orange hues, asserting Leclère as a skilled colorist. A capsule within the capsule made of orange cotton is embelisshed with hand-painted brushstrokes of silver.
